Responsible Gambling
Last updated: 31 October 2026
fidra is a free, demo-only feed. Demo coins cannot be bought, cannot be cashed out and are worth nothing. But casino-style games can still be habit-forming, and some cards link to real-money casinos. This page explains the tools fidra gives you, the warning signs to look out for, and where to get free, confidential help.
fidra is for adults only (18+).
Our commitments
- No real money on fidra. You cannot deposit, bet or win money here. Demo coins are never a reward for signing up or depositing anywhere.
- 18+ only. We ask every visitor to confirm their age before playing, and "Play for real" links only appear after that confirmation.
- Country blocks. "Play for real" links are never shown in Georgia and are blocked by default in the United Kingdom and the United States.
- No "signals" or "predictors". Casino game results cannot be predicted. We do not allow creators on fidra to sell or promote prediction tools.
- Honest creators. Creators must label their links as advertising and must not target minors or present gambling as a way to make money.
Tools in fidra
You can find these in the app under the shield icon at the top of the feed:
- Stake cap — set the largest demo bet you can place.
- Session loss limit — stop play when you have lost a set amount of demo coins in a session.
- Session time limit — stop play after a set number of minutes.
- Limits are easy to tighten and slow to loosen. A stricter limit applies straight away. Raising or removing a limit only takes effect after 24 hours, so you are not deciding in the heat of the moment. Restarting your demo balance does not remove your limits.
- Take-a-breather pause — after a run of losses, the feed pauses and invites you to take a break before carrying on.
- Delete everything — clear your browser's site data for fidra.tech to wipe your demo coins, settings and history from your device.
These tools work inside fidra only. If you play at a real-money casino, use that casino's deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion tools as well.
Tips for safer gambling
If you choose to gamble with real money elsewhere:
- Treat gambling as paid entertainment, not a way to make money.
- Set a budget and a time limit before you start, and stick to them.
- Never chase losses.
- Never borrow money, or use money meant for bills, to gamble.
- Don't gamble when you are upset, stressed, lonely, or after drinking.
- Take regular breaks.
- Demo results do not predict real-money results.
Signs that gambling may be a problem
Ask yourself honestly. Do you:
- spend more money or time on gambling than you planned?
- need to gamble with bigger amounts to get the same excitement?
- try to win back money you have lost?
- borrow money, sell things or miss bills because of gambling?
- feel restless, irritable, anxious or low when you try to cut down?
- hide your gambling or lie about it to people close to you?
- gamble to escape problems or difficult feelings?
- have arguments with family or friends about gambling?
- think about gambling a lot when you are not doing it?
If you answered "yes" to any of these, it may be time to talk to someone. Help is free and confidential.
